Los Angeles Lakers star Nick Young is ready to fight to the finish to keep his good name intact.
In 2013 Young was sued by a woman who claims he slipped her a date rape drug at a Los Angeles bar in 2011 and later raped her at his home, Police investigated the woman’s claim but filed no charges due to her giving conflicting accounts of the story, but she pressed on with the claim and filed the lawsuit anyway.
The case has been ongoing ever since, but according to TMZ, the woman has just issued a monetary figure to make it all go away.
Citing emotional distress and lost income, the woman is seeking $3 million in damages to drop her lawsuit. Young, who has been in long-term relationship with rapper Iggy Azalea, is flat-out refusing to pay the settlement and has chosen to go to court to fight the lawsuit and clear his name once and for all.
A hearing has been scheduled for later this month.
