It was only a month ago that rumors began surfacing that Kanye West wanted to jump ship from Jay Z’s fledgling, and sometimes struggling, music streaming service Tidal. And though West shut down those original rumors, word is spreading now that West wants to leave for greener pastures over at Apple.
According to HitsDailyDouble.com, West is allegedly still intent on leaving Roc Nation and leaving behind Tidal.
“Kanye West is making changes, distancing himself from Tidal, firing Roc Nation and managing himself, with an unofficial assist from the Jenner-Kardashian clan. As for Kanye’s long-delayed album, there’s some chatter that the release will be connected to Apple Music’s launch,” reads the report.
Granted, Tidal is now facing some steep competition from Spotify right now, but considering how close West and Jay are and how West reaffirmed his commitment to Tidal last month, we’re going to bank on the chances that West will likely stay right where he is with Tidal.
