Rick Ross isn’t taking 50 Cent’s antics lying down.
The Maybach Music Group boss, via his attorney, has responded to 50’s claims that he’ll sue Ross for any monies he is ordered to pay in the trial over the leaked sex tape featuring Lastonia Leviston, the mother of Ross’ child.
In what is turning out to be a ongoing game of he say, she say and finger pointing, Leviston sued 50 Cent for posting a sex tape with her and her ex-boyfriend, Maurice Murray. 50 says he isn’t responsible for the tape leaking and that it was actually Rick Ross or a member of his entourage who initially leaked the tape.
Ross’ lawyer, Xavier Donaldson, says it’s all a ploy by 50 to remain relevant and deflect “financial responsibility” in the matter.
“The recent lawsuit filed by Curtis Jackson against Mr. William Roberts is clearly another attempt to draw attention to his descending entertainment career and one of several desperate, last-minute attempts he’s made to avoid and deflect legal and financial responsibility for his own actions related to the pending New York City civil trial in which he’s a defendant,” Donaldson said.
50 was able to have Leviston’s initial suit dismissed when he filed bankruptcy for his SMS promotions company, which according to reports is in debt to the tune of a half million dollars. He is still facing a civil suit from Leviston, which he was scheduled to appear in a Manhattan court for this past Tuesday.
