While the rest of the Kardashian family was raving online yesterday about Caitlyn Jenner’s historic Vanity Fair cover in her debut as a woman, Jenner’s ex-wife, Kris Jenner, was noticeably absent from the celebration and didn’t mention the cover on her social media pages. Now, a report has revealed that Kris is still feeling raw about her split from Jenner.
In an interview of her own with Vanity Fair, Kris explained that she knew little about Jenner’s plans to transition. Kris tells the magazine that after 23 years of marriage, Jenner “just decided I’m done now.”
Jenner has maintained that her gender transition wasn’t the root cause of their divorce, instead saying that it was how Kris treated him during their marriage.
“Twenty percent was gender and 80 percent was the way I was treated,” Jenner said.
Jenner added that she thinks Kris changed once the family’s reality TV show became a hit.
“She had her own money, she didn’t need me as much from that standpoint. The relationship was different,” Jenner said. “I think in a lot of ways she became less tolerant of me. Then I’d get upset and the whole relationship kind of fizzled.”
However, Kris says that it was Jenner who sunk their marriage.
“He was married to me and he wasn’t who he wanted to be so he was miserable. … All I was doing was working very hard for my family so that we could all have a wonderful future, and he was p—-d off,” Kris told the magazine.
“At the end of my relationship with Bruce he definitely had a lot of social anxiety. That was one of the reasons we were in a struggle at the end.”
But that’s not all Kris had to say about their split. Read the rest of her comments after the cut.
