When news hit the Internet that Beyoncé, a co-owner of Tidal, could soon have her music pulled from the music streaming service due to shady industry politics, many fans cried foul, but alas it looks as though that won’t happen after all.

It was a Bloomberg Business story titled “That’s Business, Man: Why Jay Z’s Tidal Is a Complete Disaster” that speculated the “Feelin’ Myself” singer’s music along with other Sony artists were in danger of being nixed from Tidal.

“Nonetheless, if Jay Z can’t come up with the cash for Sony, he faces the possibility that Tidal might lose albums from some of its co-owners, most painfully Beyoncé, a Sony artist,” wrote story author Devin Leonard.

However, Sony Music CEO Doug Morris recently issued a statement to Billboard magazine assuring fans that Beyoncé’s music will remain on Tidal and that he and Jay Z are friends and he wishes the fledgling platform well.

“Jay Z is a friend and business associate for many years,” Morris said in his statement. “I have always admired his business acumen, his entrepreneurship and his passion for music. All of our content, including Beyonce, is available through the Tidal service, and we have announced no plans to remove our catalog from Tidal. Like all of our other partners, we are rooting for Jay and Tidal to succeed.”

Fans of Queen Bey can rest easy now. Though one has to wonder if a scenario such as Bey’s music being removed from Tidal did come to fruition, just how strong and swiftly would the infamous Bey Hive swarm?
