Draya Michele and Orlando Scandrick’s breakup came as an abrupt shock to fans since the couple had just gotten engaged after a breakup a month prior. And less than a day after news of their split hit the web, rumors began circulating that the engagement was faked for Vh1 cameras. Now, Draya is speaking out against the rumors and saying they’re false.
According to Lovebscott.com, a source claims Draya bought her own engagement ring and the engagement was all a part of a ploy to gain publicity and a storyline for “Basketball Wives LA.”
“She bought the ring and her publicist planted the story. [Orlando] didn’t propose. He has been trying to sort it out and figure out how to get the f— away from her for months! She wouldn’t leave his house and was acting [like a] squatter. She used allll her coins on it. And promised that jeweler he would get media attention blah blah blah,” the source said.
However, when BallerAlert.com posted about the story on their Instagram page, Scandrick commented and denies that their engagement was fake.
Shortly afterwards, Draya finally broke her social media silence and ranted against the rumors, as well. See what she had to say after the cut.
