Who edited the dashcam footage? And what did they not want us to see?
When Texas authorities finally released the dashcam footage of Bland’s arrest we thought we were going to get answers as to how what was supposed to be a routine traffic stop ended with Bland being taken to jail … and we did, sort of.
But a funny thing happened shortly after the release of the video. Scores of people noticed glitches and jumps in the video. The audio seemed smooth but visually it didn’t make sense. Between obvious looping sequences and cars that were there in one frame and gone in the next, it became very clear that we were not privy to the entire video. Among those who voiced concern over the apparently doctored video was award-winning film director Ava Duvernay, who tweeted her suspicions.
“I edit footage for a living. But anyone can see that this official video has been cut,” she tweeted out.
So the question remains;.who ordered the video be edited before being released and what don’t they want us to see?
