Earlier this week, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss revealed that she and her husband Todd Tucker are expecting. “We’re so thrilled to announce the news of our bundle of joy, it’s a dream come true,” Burruss shared in a statement.
Now, the former Xscape singer has revealed her due date. “Our baby is due in January,” she told E! News. As for cravings, the reality star says she hasn’t really had any so far and “it’s been a pretty easy pregnancy.” Tucker added that he is “praying to the gods for a boy.” — “There is too much estrogen in this house,” joked Burruss.
This is the couple’s first child together. And Tucker says that both his daughter Kaela and Burruss’ daughter Riley are ecstatic about the new addition to the family. “Our daughters, Kaela and Riley, couldn’t be happier about becoming big sisters,” he said. Surprisingly even, Mama Joyce has been “very supportive.”
The Grammy Award-winning singer and Tucker tied the knot in April 2014 in a ceremony that the bride later described as the “wedding of her dreams.” Meanwhile, the baby isn’t the 39-year-old’s only new project. In addition to working on the popular Bravo series, which wrapped its seventh season in June, the singer-songwriter recently relaunched her record label Kandi Koated and has already signed two acts, the girl group Glamour and the band Loud.
She also has a line of sex toys called Bedroom Kandi, and has starred in a number of spin-off series, including “The Kandi Factory”, “Kandi’s Wedding,” and “Kandi’s Ski Trip.”
In light of Burruss’ big announcement, can we anticipate another spin-off? Or will her pregnancy be the storyline to save season eight of “RHOA,” considering they just lost two of their major players, NeNe Leakes and Claudia Jordan? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
