Donald Trump has gained many enemies since he announced his presidential bid, but he has found a loyal supporter in former basketball great Dennis Rodman.

The eccentric celebrity announced Friday over Twitter that he endorses Trump for president of the United States in 2016.

@realdonaldtrump has been a great friend for many years. We don’t need another politician, we need a businessman like Mr. Trump! Trump 2016.”

The real estate mogul expressed his appreciation for the support and tweeted back,”Thank you @DennisRodman. It’s time to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain! I hope you are doing well!”

Rodman and Trump have had a rocky relationship over the years. Rodman was a contestant on the Republican candidate’s “Celebrity Apprentice” reality show in 2013. In 2014, when Rodman visited his friend, Kim Jong-un in North Korea, Trump said the NBA Hall of Famer was “either drunk or on drugs.”

Last month, former football player Terrell Owens became Trump’s first celebrity supporter. Owens, who was also on “Celebrity Apprentice,” told TMZ, “This may be what the country needs and Trump … he’s a guy who won’t put up with BS and has what it takes to change how government is run.”

“With that being said, Trump … you’re hired,” he added. “Plus, as the president, Trump would be able to say he knows me and he likes me … LOL!”
