If you and your mate or your girlfriends are in search of a way to have fun in the final days of summer, you must check out Motown: The Musical at the Fabulous FOX Theatre in downtown Atlanta. It tells the story of how Berry Gordy’s Motown Records changed the game for Black artists. Introducing artists like the Supremes, the Jackson 5, and Stevie Wonder, Motown Records revolutionized popular culture. On their first national tour for this musical, thespians Julius Thomas III plays the infamous Berry Gordy. The musical chronicles what happened behind closed doors at Motown’s Hitsville U.S.A. recording studio.

Sixty-six hits from Gordy’s empire are sang throughout this presentation.

Motown: The Musical shows at the Fabulous FOX Theatre until Sunday, August 23.
