If you’re in the market for a new home, music power couple Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz have what you need — if you happen to be looking for a massive mansion in New Jersey.
Keys and Beatz recently listed their sprawling 32-room Englewood, New Jersey, mansion for a whopping $14. 9 million. The massive mansion sits on over 25,000 square feet and features eight bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms, and four half bathrooms.
Other extravagant features of the gated residence include a high tech security system, guardhouse hut just beyond the main entry gate, two elevators (one for the north wing of the home and one for the south wing), an art gallery wing, movie theater, two-lane bowling alley, state of the art recording studio, gymnasium, and a indoor swimming pool with a glass roof.
Real estate experts predict the couple will have a difficult time selling the home, which is currently listed at almost $3 million more than they paid for it. Most insiders with knowledge of the market predict Keys and Beatz will ultimately have to settle for a bit of a loss if they truly want to unload the property.
Interestingly enough, Murphy’s former property is not the first celebrity home the musical duo has attempted to buy and sell for profit.
In 2010, Keys and Beatz bought rocker Lenny Kravitz’s New York City penthouse for $12.75 million and put it back on the market in 2012 for an ambitious $17.95 million before finally selling it for $12.375 million in 2013.
