Chris Brown and his baby’s mama, Nia Guzman, have been battling over custody of their baby daughter, Royalty, for months now, taking personal jabs at each other’s characters in an effort to prove who is fit to be a parent to their daughter. Now, a new report reveals that Brown may be taking aim at Guzman’s new man in his custody battle.
As previously reported, Guzman feels Brown is too irresponsible to watch over Royalty by himself and she feels his friends are too dangerous for their daughter to be around. Guzman has filed legal documents asking that Brown only be allowed to see Royalty under supervised visitations. She also reportedly wants full custody of Royalty.
However, Brown decided to fight back when he filed documents in Houston to establish paternity of Royalty, so he can fight for joint custody of Royalty and challenge Guzman’s alleged request for $15K a month in child support.
According to TMZ, Guzman and Brown are set to appear in court again in two weeks and sources say Brown plans to challenge Guzman’s accusations that he’s a bad element in his daughter’s life by going after Guzman’s boyfriend, King Ba, whom Guzman credited on Royalty’s birth certificate.
Last week, it was reported that King Ba was on the run from police after being accused of forging more than $5K worth of U.S. Treasury checks. Guzman’s reps told TMZ that she’s no longer with King Ba, but Brown reportedly plans to tell the judge that Guzman’s choice in King Ba is proof that she’s a hypocrite and has terrible judgment.
Well, this is clearly a messy and nasty custody battle and we’ll wait to see how this plays out.
