Just ahead of Labor Day weekend, Atlanta’s scenesters were afforded a sneak peek of FOX’s “Rosewood,” a medical drama starring Morris Chestnut as the leading man.
The invitation-only screening was held at CinéBistro at Town Brookhaven, a luxury movie theater just outside Atlanta’s post Buckhead district. Professionals, film, TV and music industry insiders, media and bloggers crowded the bar area and were treated to a special menu that included an assortment of appetizers and custom cocktails, including The Rosewood and Miami Nights, before we were escorted to our seats to partake in dinner-and-a-show with reserved seating, chef prepared cuisine, fine wines, cocktails and full in-theatre service complete with a wait staff.
For over two decades, he has been making hearts throb. Chestnut plays Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr., a charming pathologist who can read human bodies in a simple glance. He owns one of the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art labs, Magic City Labs,
The show is set in sunny and beachy Miami. If the pilot episode is any indication of how the show is going to go, this writer has to say FOX has another hit on their hands. It’s great to see a Hollywood hunk like Chestnut take command, take charge and stil be able to display that charisma that only he has.
“Rosewood” premieres on FOX on Wednesdays at 8 p.m., pre-“Empire.”
