You may recall that Jaden Smith’s older girlfriend, Sarah Snyder, 19, was arrested in June for allegedly stealing a $16K Hermes bag from a high-end boutique in Katonah, New York. According to “Entertainment Tonight,” she was booked on one count of third-degree larceny.
On Friday, Oct. 2, the model appeared in court to face the charges, where she pulled a pretty trashy stunt. While most would opt to wear a suit or at least strive to look presentable, Snyder chose to rock a tee baring her mugshot. She then shared her ballsy outfit choice with her Instagram followers captioning the snap “56 nights,” in reference to Future’s track by the same name, which is about DJ Esco’s jail sentence.
“As of last night, we made it clear to the district attorney’s office that we would not be accepting any offers or any pleas and that no pleas would be entered. The only thing we are interested in is an exoneration and an apology,” Snyder’s attorney, Robert Schuster, told ET, in her defense. “At this point we are preparing for a potential trial, whether it is to be tried as a felony or a misdemeanor.”
“My clients are free to express themselves in any way that they choose, and I do not advise them one way or the other on availing themselves of their First Amendment privileges,” Schuster commented on the 19-year-old’s attire. According to Schuster, the 17-year-old’s girlfriend is innocent and is “erroneously charged in this matter.”
Meanwhile, Snyder continues to live it up as if she’s not at all phased by the charges. The young couple were spotted at New York Fashion Week recently packing on the PDA. Oh to be young and in love.
