This could be Kanye West’s craziest claim yet.

It’s one thing to be a proud husband and another to be slightly delusional. In a new interview with SHOWstudio, West shared his belief that his wife, Kim Kardashian and her family are long overdue for some Emmy awards for their long-running E! reality series.

“I feel proud to be in a family that has so many people breaking ground for the generations that come. I just feel like reality show[s] that’s so f—ing new of an art form,” Kanye said when asked about Caitlyn Jenner’s transition. “It’s like my wife and her family should have had plenty of Emmys by now, but reality shows are considered to be like rap. Like when the Mondrian wouldn’t let Run-D.M.C. and motherf—ing Will Smith stay there because they were rappers. Or the idea of a reality star not being allowed into a fashion show or not being nominated for their show, even if it’s the longest running thing and the most popular and everybody I know watches it and s—.”

The expectant father went on to praise the Kardashian-Jenner klan for always staying true to themselves, despite their haters. “To let your life be controlled by public opinion is like asking to sit in traffic for the rest of your life,” said West.

And it appears that West is not alone. Earlier this week, the Kardashians made headlines as “The First Family” on Cosmo magazine. But Black Twitter wasn’t buying it. Social media slammed the magazine best known for their sex quizzes and scantily clad cover girls by reminding them that our nation only has one “first family” and they are Black. We’re sure users will have some interesting shade to throw about this as well. Is West right on or all wrong? Sound off in the comment section below.
