A man in Aurora, Colorado is furious over a teacher’s actions in regards to his daughter. According to reports by Fox 31, Cary Reed was disturbed over a love letter sent to his 7-year-old daughter by a fourth grade teacher at Aurora Academy Charter School.
The teacher, who does not teach the second grade student, sent a love letter to Reed’s daughter while she was on the playground. The note had a child-like tone and the teacher referred to the girl as “stinky butt.” The note also included a picture of the teacher making a silly face.
The next day, the teacher approached the young girl and gave her another note. The second note was a ridiculous poem which asked the girl to be his “friend” and he also told her she makes him “smile.” The second note also contained more photos of the teacher.
Reed believes the teacher is grooming his daughter in an inappropriate manner and wants the teacher to be reprimanded.
However, the school has refused to punish the teacher and told Reed that “it would never happen again.” It’s apparent that the teacher’s actions are consistent with those of a child predator and he should be far away from children. Across the nation, there have been numerous reports of inappropriate relationships between students and teachers, but those cases are usually at the high school level.
Reed may be forced to call authorities with hopes of an investigation. At this point, the school will not fire or suspend the teacher for his inappropriate actions.
