Many of us have cousins we have not seen since childhood. The bonds of a cousin can be tight as they grow to adulthood and they can often lose contact with each other for years.  So when Chantay Netters, 34, was able to meet with a cousin she had not seen in 20 years, she was happy. They had a glass of wine together, and caught up on old times before deciding to go a club. Before leaving they even took a picture together to capture the moment.

The pair headed to a popular metro Atlanta area club called Karma Bistro in Stone Mountain, Georgia. It was there that Netters’ night of terror began. Although the event happened on Oct. 6, 2015, Netters is finally able to tell her story after leaving the ICU. She told local news station WSBTV that she had another glass of wine at the club with her cousin and believes she was drugged. Netters did not finish the wine and even posted as her Facebook status “I’m so drunk, I’m so messed up I can’t even see straight,”

She was later found unconscious, beaten and dumped in a wooded area behind the club by three men who alerted club security. The married mother of six is now in a hospital and a GoFundMe page has been setup to help with medical bills. The page states Netters “suffered severe head trauma, lacerations to her liver, kidney damage and broken ribs”. In addition she suffered multiple cigarette burns on her hands. Netters’ has received blood transfusions and is also reportedly in severe pain.

Strangely enough the unidentified cousin not only left her at the club but also took her purse, license and cellphone. The family has not identified the cousin who was with Netters, but are asking people who may have information about the night to contact police. The family stated on the GoFundMe page that they specifically want to talk to the three men who found her.
