To Wale’s credit, he took the high road in the matter . . . kinda.
Instead of going on a rebuttal rant, the “Ride Out” rapper simply poked fun at Meek via a series of tweets before posting a picture of his MMG tattoo to reveal that he’s committed to the crew for life.
Of course, Wale may be so light-hearted on the matter because he’s been down this road before with Meek.
It was just last year that two emcees had a brief online back and forth after Meek accused Wale of “hating” for not tweeting anything about his then upcoming album. They eventually squashed that dust up with Wale later telling MTV that it was just an instance of “family” having a “rough patch.”
“We sit and talk about how much we’ve changed as artists,” he told MTV. “We went through a little rough patch or whatever but that’s family … We’re just a brotherhood. We’re both competitive. We both want to be the best. We’re both crazy. All of us are. Every artist is crazy.”
Smart money says that big boss Ross puts this to an end, sooner rather than later.
