From all indications, it looks as though New York Yankees great Derek Jeter is no fan of 50 Cent.
Apparently, Jeter is so much not a fan of 50’s that the future Hall of Fame shortstop has reportedly walked away from a multi-million dollar deal with Swedish underwear line Frigo, because of 50’s involvement with the company.
Jeter signed on for a three-year stint as director of the company and just as it was prepping to bring its brand to America, 50 Cent was brought in to be the brand ambassador, much to Jeter’s chagrin. Sources say Jeter felt as though 50’s involvement with the company was making it seem “too urban” and decided to part ways with the brand after only two years, effectively leaving himself open to a breach of contract lawsuit.
Frigo is now suing the 41-year-old retired athlete for $4.7 million.
50 Cent recently took to Instagram to give his thoughts on Jeter’s decision to leave the company because of him. Check out his response, after the cut.
