In an effort to promote their recent holiday film The Night Before, big screen veterans Anthony Mackie, Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt stopped by the “Sway in the Morning” radio show this week, where they demonstrated their rap skills. While they did take a minute to talk about their latest flick, the highlight of their appearance was without a doubt an epic freestyle battle where Mackie and Gordon-Levitt dragged Rogen into creating some awkward-yet-hilarious rhymes of his own.
While both Mackie and Gordon-Levitt handled themselves well in their brief verses, Rogen was more than reluctant to join, despite the fact that “I humiliate myself so often,” he said. But after much persuasion, Rogen jumped in and really got into his flow, dropping lines like “Y’know what? I don’t care / My underwear / Doesn’t fit my public hair / My bush is too big / It looks like a clown wig.”
And while it’s clear none of the actors has a promising hip hop career, their willingness to embarrass themselves (terribly) is entertaining at best. What do you think of the boys’ freestyle battle? Who walked away with the title? Sound off in the comment section below.
