Michelle Obama shows off her rap skills (or lack thereof), in a hilarious new clip posted via YouTube. FLOTUS teams up with CollegeHumor, to create a music video encouraging high school graduates to go to college. Obama even busts out a few bars of her own.

“South Side Chicago, we all know, we had to do overtime every night to make it tomorrow,” Obama raps as a throwback graduation photo of her appears next to her recording the song. “And everyone could really make their dream true. Hey, kids listenin’ in Michigan that could be you!”

Although that’s her only solo verse, the first lady also raps on the chorus where she inspires young adults everywhere to “go to college” and “fill your head with knowledge,” all while dancing on the White House lawn in a classy printed wrap dress. According to a statement from Obama’s office, the music video was created in support of her Better Make Room public awareness campaign, which launched last month as part of her Reach Higher initiative.

“This campaign is leveraging traditional and new media platforms to celebrate student stories in the same way that we often celebrate celebrities and athletes,” reads the statement. “Better Make Room strives to ensure that Generation Z, or young people 14-19, understand the steps, tools, and resources available to help them Reach Higher.”
