Percy Sledge, 74
A singer, he went from picking cotton in the South to singing and recorded perhaps one of the most known soul ballads in history. Sledge is widely known for his hit single, “When a Man Loves a Woman.”

Errol Brown, 71
Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, he was the frontman for the group, Hot Chocolate. Brown was famous for hits including “You Sexy Thing” and “It Started With A Kiss.” He was made an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in 2003 and received an Ivor Novello Award a year later for his outstanding contribution to British music.
