Often times, we hear celebs talking about their gay friends, family members or colleagues. But rarely do we hear them speak about their own LGBT kids or the possibility that their children may be gay. Well, recently Adele stepped up to the plate on the subject and shared how she would feel if she found out her son is gay.
In her recent cover story for Time magazine, Adele opened up about about her son, Angelo, whom she gave birth to back in 2012, and explained the impact that motherhood has had on her life.
“He makes me so proud of myself, and he makes me like myself so much. And I’ve always liked myself. I’ve never not liked myself. I don’t have hangups like that,” Adele said. “But I’m so proud of myself that I made him in my belly. Cooked him in my belly and then he came out of me! This human who’s suddenly walking around and doing his own thing.”
Adele then shared her excitement about getting to know the person that her son would grow to become, as well as the man or woman her son will fall in love with.
“I can’t wait to know who his best friends are going to be, who his girlfriend or his boyfriend is going to be or what movies he likes,” Adele said. “Whatever my kid wants to do or be I will always support him no matter what.”
