Not only is former Atlanta Falcon Bob Whitfield making headline news in Atlanta as one of the top 25 best offensive lineman in Falcon history; he’s now back on primetime television Saturday mornings on Fox 5 Atlanta on a relatively new sports news show titled “Play to Win.” Joined by veteran and former Falcon colleague Chuck Smith, analyst Nikky Williams and football veteran Bob Neal, the show is designed to give viewers the best of football updates in thirty minutes.

Executive producer Phil Isaacs spent over 25 years in sports news before deciding to leap out on faith and create his own show. Going on its second year, the show is having great success in the number 1, 2 and 3 spots in Columbus, Atlanta and Augusta, Georgia, and looking to expand to other markets in the upcoming year. Landing sponsors like Nissan, Georgia Lottery and Mellow Mushroom, it looks like this new sports show definitely has what it takes to spread its wings and fly high.

This past Saturday, the show opened with Whitfield winning the ugly X-mas sweater contest and then breaking down Freeman’s start in running game, the play action pass with Roddy White and what the Falcons needed to do with their O-linemen if they expected to improve against Carolina. The “Playing to Win” website describes the overall goal of the show as the following:

“Playing to Win” is a weekly television program that will analyze, break down, and even pick the winners of games in both college and professional football. Each week a few of the nation’s most significant major college football games will be picked based on national rankings, historical prominence, and viewer interest. The next part of the show will feature specific analysis of the most intriguing NFL games also based on historical prominence and viewer interest. In addition, there will be a weekly segment on America’s biggest frenzy.

On this note, I would suggest all you fantasy football fans to pay attention on Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. to receive insider tips that will definitely help you play to win.
