Kenya tries to reunite with her mother
Kenya arranges a family reunion in Detroit and even gets her dad and his fmaily to come along with her on the trip. However, Kenya surprises everyone when she stops by her estranged mother’s home with the plan to get her to finally talk to her after years of silence. Kenya knocks on her mother’s door repeatedly, but her mother locks the door and refuses to open it. Kenya explains that she hears her mother through the door, telling someone “don’t answer it.” Kenya’s father evenutally pulls her away and Kenya explains that she’s not surprised that her mother still wants nothing to do with her. However, it’s obvious that she’s still hurting over being abandoned.
