This week, fans were shocked to see that Lil Wayne and Birdman, who have been involved in a legal battle for over a year as Wayne tried to cut all business ties with his mentor, appeared together on stage as Birdman claimed they were father and son, once again. Although the old friends may be squashing their beef on a personal level, reports claim that their business feud is far from over.
According to media reports, sources claim that Wayne has no plans to withdraw his lawsuit, in which he demands that Birdman pay back the millions he owes him and that he release Wayne’s Tha Carter V album. Wayne’s demands also came along with the threat that if they aren’t met, he’ll walk from Cash Money Records and take their superstar acts Drake and Nicki Minaj with him.
Sources say that there’s still no settlement in sight between the moguls and that their on stage reconciliation was just a friendly gesture on Birdman’s part to begin healing the rift with Wayne on a personal level.
Well, if these two don’t settle their business issues, any peace treaty they formed in their personal lives likely won’t last for long.
