Big Sean has dedicated blood, sweat, tears, and big bucks to both properly and proudly rep his hometown of Detroit. So, it’s no surprise that the G.O.O.D Music recording artist has stepped up to aid those suffering in Motor City’s neighboring town, Flint, MI.
With the help of CrowdRise, Sean has started #HEALFLINTKIDS with the hope of raising funds for the Community Foundation of Greater Flint Michigan’s “Flint Child Health & Development Fund.” Although there’s no set goal, the 27-year-old set the bar high, with a solid $10: donation to launch the initiative, sharing on social media,

As previously reported, Flint’s water supply has been contaminated by lead, causing a horrific health crisis which has reportedly targeted the city’s children. Those infected could face long-term effects.
“I am devastated by the water crisis that has put the entire city of Flint in a state of emergency,” Sean said in a release. “In recognizing the great work that the Community Foundation of Greater Flint Michigan has been doing, it is my hope we can help by raising the money needed to ensure that the children who have been hit the hardest receive the care that they need today and well into the future.”
Nicki Minaj’s leading man, Meek Mill, has also stepped up to the plate, by donating over 60K water bottles to the good people of Flint. In an effort to double his achievement, Mill whose been beefing with 50 Cent all week, called on the “Candy Shop” rapper to match him via Instagram. “I got 50k to donate to waters … Let’s see if we can have @50cent match me! I’m pretty sure “flint” supported us! Serious post contact …. Roc nation will purchase for me and ship! Not even just him all entertainers! I ain’t got the [time] posting memes and shit… “Way too trill for that” @dallaslifestyle it’s my dawg hometown too! #FORMLKDAY”
