Kenya Moore and Kim Fields have been irritating each other ever since they started filming together for the new season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” And things between the ladies were heating up on Sunday night’s episode when Fields hosted a “beatles,” make-up free brunch and Moore slammed her, saying that she was pompous for implying that the other cast mates wear too much make-up. Although the ladies were able to keep their disagreement peaceful, Moore recently opened up about how she genuinely felt about the brunch.
In her latest Bravo blog, Moore explained, “We’ve seen Kim speak about the ‘group’ in a negative way before. She told Phaedra that everyone had their breasts out at my Kenya Moore Hair Care launch party and she ‘missed class,’ thereby calling us classless or trashy. She quipped before that we all looked like we were always on a red carpet and she often makes disapproving faces and comments while she is with us.”
She added, “I’ve had a little too much of Kim’s self-righteous behavior. Her ‘beatless brunch’ could have been to celebrate our natural beauty, which I think all of the women have, however, when her voice message specifically stated: ‘We need to be reminded what make up is for,’ that is when the message was no longer positive for me and more judgmental and accusatory. Translation: ‘You all wear too much makeup and you need to learn to wear less, because I do not approve of how you look.'”
Moore also opened up about Cynthia Bailey’s proposal that Moore and Fields work together to create a commercial for Bailey’s new eyewear line. Neither Moore nor Bailey seemed excited about the idea of working with each other, and when Bailey invited both ladies out to pitch their individual ideas to her, Moore flaked, saying that she had to tend to emergencies dealing with Moore Manor. Meanwhile, Fields told Bailey that she won’t co-direct with anyone.
“Kim believes she is too good for this group and too good to work with me. I guess she isn’t too good to need Cynthia’s check,” Moore said about the matter.
Well, this is likely only the beginning of the shade that Moore has ready to hurl at Fields, because things are going to get even more heated on the next “RHOA” episode when the ladies travel to Jamaica for the commercial shoot.
