Founded by Chicago-area beauty mavens Brittney McCoy, Farrin Adams, and Zha Zha Casanova, Beauty Bash Chicago is an annual beauty expo that showcases established and emerging professional makeup artists and beauty bloggers in major cities across the country. The event serves to provide a platform for industry professionals to connect with millennial beauty consumers through live demonstrations, and share knowledge through live interaction with bloggers and beauty experts.
This year, #BBChi was held at the private Prairie Production venue in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. The large loft space was divided in half, with the front being used for networking and socializing over delicious bites and cocktails, while the back was converted into a relaxing day spa for the mix of beauty enthusiasts, influencers, and VIP guests to enjoy henna, massages, facials, manicures and more.
Featured professionals included Mari On The Beat, Yogi, and Sonya Simone. YSL and Lancôme provided free makeovers for guests, and Eleventh Hour Salon offered complimentary teeth whitening and manicures. The night ended with a friendly makeup competition judged by celebrity make-up artist Jerlicia Hobson, with the winner taking home a dozen pink roses and a $150 MAC Cosmetics gift card. All VIP attendees left with a Glam bag with over $200 of goodies.
“The beauty industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in the country and across the world even,” Casanova said. “We’re happy to be just a small part of its growth. I mean, what girl doesn’t love make-up and spa services?”
Beauty Bash Chicago continues to be among the leaders in beauty industry events in Chicago and has plans on expanding their scope to different cities around the country in the near future.
