There’s no arguing that sex sells in the entertainment industry, and the famous Kardashian sisters have based a major part on the success of their multimillion dollar empire on being some of the top sex symbols and trendsetters of our generation. And while big sis Kim Kardashian is busy fighting against slut-shaming and body-shaming in the aftermath of her posting an infamous selfie, her younger sister Khloe recently weighed in on family friend Ciara and her decision to abstain from sex until she marries her longtime boyfriend, Russell Wilson.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that Ciara has spent much of the past year talking with the press about her decision to enjoy a celibate relationship with NFL star Wilson, who she’s been publicly linked with since early last year. Although it was Wilson’s idea that they go celibate, fans and tabloids alike have been continuously questioning Ciara about going along with the idea since she already has a nearly 2-year-old son with her ex-fiancé, Future, who famously mocked her celibacy decision in one of his rants about Ciara.
In a clip from an upcoming episode of “Kocktails With Khloe,” the Kardashian discussed the topic of celibacy with guests Vivica A. Fox, Cassie and Alec Mapa, and she seemed to shame Ciara for her decision not to sleep with Wilson.
“They [Ciara and Russell] should be having sex. With all due respect to Ciara, she has a baby. It’s not like we don’t know if she is a virgin or not. None of us would know about it unless they were publicly telling us they are practicing celibacy, so who are you trying to prove this to? Is it a look?” Khloe says in the clip.
It’s a surprising stance for Khloe to take, considering that Ciara is good friends with her and her big sis Kim. And shortly after the clip hit the web, fans began to bash Khloe for criticizing Ciara’s celibacy.
Last night, though, Khloe decided to go on Twitter and clarify her statements about Ciara and Wilson.
“It’s so frustrating how people misconstrue my words!” Khloe tweeted, before saying, “I love&adore Ciara! I respect her on many levels. Was freely discussing my views on celibacy&people twist & turn everything 2create a feud.”
Neither Ciara nor Wilson has responded to Khloe’s comments and we doubt they will publicly. But what do you all think of what Khloe said? Let us know in the comments.
