Congrats are in order for actress/singer Countess Vaughn, who early Saturday morning, March 26, shared the exciting news, that she’s engaged.
The former “Moesha” starlet took to Instagram, where she posted [and later pulled from her page] a candid snap featuring her mystery man down on bended knee — smiles and all. “He asked to marry me….and I said yes..” she wrote.
Although there’s slim to no information about “The Parker” star’s soon-to-be husband, from the 27-year-old’s previously posted images, it appears that the dynamic duo attended a prom themed party as they were dressed to the nines in proper black tie attire, earlier that day.
In fact, it seems as if Vaughn had an early reckoning that her beau was going to pop the big question, as she captioned an earlier snap, “I’m thankful and blessed…love you guys…it’s a big night for me…loving my makeup…feeling 18 again.”
This will be “The Hollywood Divas” standout’s second marriage. As you may recall, back in 2002, Vaughn married Joseph James, who she has two children with, Jaylen James and Aniyah Vaughn. The couple divorced three years later, in 2005. And while she’s played pretty coy about her dating life in the past, she appears to be ready to start the next chapter in her life.
Meanwhile, it’s been quite some time since Vaughn has blessed us with a story. In December, the disgruntled actress wrote an open letter to her former costar Brandy Norwood via Instagram, apologizing for her actions from many years ago. She posted a snap featuring Norwood, alongside a heartfelt caption to accompany the update: “@4everbrandy I’m proud of you. For placing one foot in front of the other. For waking up every morning and simply giving it your best shot. for placing a premium on personal growth too.”
We see you, Vaughn-growth on multiple levels. Congratulations again to the happy couple! Show them some love in the comment section below.
