Allegations of drug use regarding the late megastar Prince continue to circulate in the news. The newest person to join the fray is music star Sinead O’Connor, who is accusing Arsenio Hall of supplying Prince with drugs. She posted the following to her Facebook account on Monday:
“Two words for the DEA investigating where Prince got his drugs over the decades…. Arsenio Hall (AKA Prince’s and Eddie Murphy’s bitch) Anyone imagining Prince was not a long time hard drug user is living in cloud cuckoo land. Arsenio I’ve reported you to the Carver County Sherriff’s office. Expect their call. They are aware you spiked me years ago at Eddie Murphy’s house. You best get tidying your man cave.”
O’Connor had a top-selling hit with the Prince penned song “Nothing Compares 2 U” that skyrocketed her to the top of the music scene in 1990. But that’s not the end of her comments regarding her relationship with Prince. She also claims that she had a physical fight with the Purple One in an interview. Two years ago she stated, “I did meet him a couple of times. We didn’t get on at all. In fact, we had a punch-up. He summoned me to his house — and it’s foolish to do this to an Irish woman — he said he didn’t like me saying bad words in interviews. So I told him to f–k off. He got quite violent. I had to escape out of his house at 5 in the morning.”
Hall is denying the allegations leveled against him by O’Connor. Traci Harper, Hall’s publicist, issued the following statement: “The statement regarding Arsenio Hall is absolutely false, ridiculous and absurd.”
There has been much speculation regarding the alleged use of pain-killers by Prince. Law enforcement confirmed that the prescription drug Percocet was found on the body of the singer as well as in his home. However, this is not illegal if he had a doctor’s prescription for the drug. Authorities are now digging deeper into the late singer’s medical history and have even asked the DEA to assist in the investigation of his death.
