For most reality TV stars, their 15 minutes of fame will begin and shortly end in front of the reality TV lens. But for a lucky few, their personality is so big that they can transcend the world of reality TV and make a name for themselves outside that realm. And it looks like the next reality star one the verge of making that transition is “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star Joseline Hernandez, who recently revealed that she’s landed a major opportunity with superstar director and producer Lee Daniels.
According to media reports, Hernandez recently spoke in a new interview about that difficult Hollywood transition and she revealed that she’s one step closer to crossing over thanks to a new gig on Lee Daniels’ upcoming FOX series, “Star.”
“You just gotta do your own thing and then you’ll be successful like me, and then you’ll end up having your own show and then you’ll end up doing something for Lee Daniels on FOX or different things like that,” Hernandez said, before confirming, again, the big news.
“Yes, I did. I did something for FOX. I’ve worked his new show, and it just got picked up,” Hernandez added.
“Star” is reportedly another musically-themed drama from Daniels that will center on young women in a girl group in Atlanta trying to make it big in the cutthroat music industry. The series will star acting heavy hitters like Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt, and Nicholas Gonzalez, as well as younger actors like Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O’Grady.
Hernandez didn’t reveal what her role will be in the series, but she did explain that she was happy that viewers will see her on prime time next TV season.
“Yes, it just got picked up. So that’s amazing so, yeah, you know you’ve got to do you. And be yourself and then people will really gravitate to you and then you won’t be here today and they vote your a– off the island next week,” Hernandez said.
Well, this is big news for the Puerto Rican Princess and we’re honestly interested to see what she’ll do on the series.
