It’s been nearly two years since Nicki Minaj and Safaree Samuels ended their decade-plus long relationship and although the former pair initially tried to end things on good terms, their breakup quickly turned nasty as they began publicly bashing each other online and fell into the same bitter feuding trap that many celebrity exes fall into. With so much time having passed, though, you’d think the pair would finally have made peace or just decided to move on. But apparently the beef between them is still fresh because last night they started slamming each other online, once again, and Minaj revealed some surprising news about her ex.
As most fans know, the beef between Minaj and Safaree began shortly after their breakup when Safaree claimed that he wrote many of Minaj’s raps on her hit albums. Meanwhile, Minaj vehemently denied Safaree’s claims and fired back that he was living and eating off of her name.
Since then, the two have occasionally gone back and forth with each other online, despite Minaj having quickly moved on to dating fellow rapper Meek Mill and Safaree having moved on to dating numerous other women.
Well, after months of public silence between the two, things heated up, once again, last night when Minaj began abruptly tweeting about her frustrations with Safaree and revealed that her ex-boyfriend is suing her for allegedly physically and emotionally abusing him.
As most fans know, there were numerous rumors that Minaj and Safaree had a turbulent relationship at times, especially when a 911 call was released to the press of a hotel desk manager calling in to report that Minaj and Safaree had allegedly been in an altercation in which Minaj was hit in the face with a suitcase. However, both Samuels and Minaj denied that the altercation ever occurred.
In her Twitter feud, Minaj balked at the idea that she abused Safaree in any way and she claimed that she had emails to prove that Safaree had previously told her that he missed her before he filed the lawsuit.
But Minaj’s rant didn’t end there. Read the rest of it, as well as Safaree’s response, after the cut.
