A retaliation for a murder allegedly led to the senseless death of an infant in Georgia. According to WXIA, the incident began after Bloods gang member, Kenneth Eric Jackson, aka “KG the God,” decided to seek revenge for another murder that occurred months before.
Jackson was behind bars when he allegedly ordered the murder of an infant. On May 10, 2014, Jackson ordered Devin Thomas, Marco Watson, and Christopher Florence to force their way into a home in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Three women and a baby, KenDarious Edwards, Jr., were all inside of the home when the break-in occurred.
The men began shooting and shot everyone inside of the home. Edwards, 9-months-old, was killed during the shooting. His mother and the two other women also sustained gunshot wounds, but they all survived,
The shooting was in retaliation after the infant’s uncle allegedly murdered another gang member. Jackson, Thomas, Watson, and Florence are alleged members of the Sex, Money Murder Bloods. Eunice English, who is not believed to be a gang member, was also arrested.
The murder sheds light on how gang violence continues to affect the young and innocent who become victims due to family members who happen to be involved in gang life.
In 2015, Tyshawn Lee, 9, was lured into an alley in Chicago by several gang members who killed him execution style. The murder, which shocked the community, was allegedly in retaliation for a crime committed by his father, who is believed to be a gang member. Corey Morgan, Dwright Boone-Doty, and Kevin Edwards have all been arrested and charged for Lee’s murder.
In Georgia, Bloods gang members Jackson, Thomas, Watson, and Florence have all been charged in connection to the murder of infant KenDarious Edwards, Jr. Each gang member, and Eunice English, face 15 counts which include malice murder, aggravated assault, and kidnapping.
