Jay Z makes rare post Lemonade appearance at Diddy’s Bad Boy Reunion concert series.

On Friday, May 20, the Roc Nation star headed to Barclays Center in Brooklyn where he took the stage to perform Diddy’s “favorite joint,” “Public Service Announcement” and “Can’t Knock This Hustle” alongside R&B legend Mary J. Blige.

“You’ve been there with me through my ups and downs. Whenever I get in trouble, this is the one I call. This is my strategist right here, this my brother, this B.I.G.’s brother, this Brooklyn’s own,” Diddy said while introducing Jay Z on what would have been the Notorious B.I.G.’s 44th birthday. “That’s why I appreciate you. He came from 5,000 miles away to come here to Brooklyn to represent for B.I.G.”

Of course, it was a rare appearance for the hip-hop mogul, 46, who’s been MIA since the release of wife Beyoncé’s sixth studio album, Lemonade — chock-full of transparent tracks addressing the couple’s alleged marital issues.

Jay joined a long list of Bad Boy Family members including Notorious B.I.G. widow Faith Evans, Lil Kim, 112, Ma$e, and French Montana — all who were in attendance for the kickoff of the label’s 20th anniversary celebration.
