As an interesting 2016 NBA Finals comes to a close, we are geared up and ready for Game 7. With both teams back and healthy, the intensity level is at an all-time high. Stephen Curry and the Warriors are one game away from yet another championship victory, while LeBron James and the Cavs are forced to lay it all on the line in an attempt to win their first ever NBA championship. Which team will get the trophy, the banner and the ring? Which city will earn the bragging rights and be able to call themselves the 2016 NBA Champions?

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors proved this year that they are a force to be reckoned with concluding the regular season with a 73-9 record. With the motto “Strength In Numbers” the Warriors were able to surpass the 1996 Chicago Bulls record-holding season of 72-10. Winning the big show will not only grant them back-to-back championship rings, but will also give them a competitive advantage going into the 2016-2017 season.

LeBron James and the Cavaliers have yet to make history in Cleveland, but have a chance to  accomplish a goal that no other professional sports team from their city has been able to do since 1964 when the Cleveland Browns won an NFL championship, pre-Super Bowl era. Coming extremely close in 2007 before falling short to the Spurs and again in Game 6 of the 2015 NBA Finals against the Warriors, the Cavs are back with a vengeance and ready to finally crown themselves Kings. Since returning to Cleveland in 2014, James has been determined to bring home the championship trophy, and give his hometown something to be proud of. After a rocky start in this year’s Finals, the Cavs found their groove and came back to tie the series up 3-3 in Game 6.

With not only the championship on the line, but reputations at stake there is so much to lose, but even more to gain for both the Cavaliers and the Warriors. When the Cavs play hard they are nearly unstoppable, but a focused Warriors team is practically unbeatable, hence their record-setting season. So who will win Game 7? Will it be Curry and his complimenting cast of Warriors or James and his victory hungry Cavaliers? Tune in Sunday, June 19 at 8 p.m. on ABC for full coverage of the game.
