TheYBF.com shared the heartbreaking news this evening that “Ed Hartwell has filed for divorce from Keshia Knight Pulliam after just eight months of marriage.”
The former NFL linebacker, whose legal name is Edgerton Hartwell II, filed divorce papers in a Fulton County, Georgia courthouse on Monday, July 25, 2016, citing irreconcilable differences, “such as constant disagreements on life changing decisions that couples typically make together.”
He is being represented by Charles David Joyner, an attorney in Buford, Georgia. Blogger B. Scott has the receipt.
The couple secretly married this past New Year’s Eve after less than six months of dating.
But, Ed tells TheYBF.com via his rep, “Right now, the only thing I want is a paternity test for the baby.”
On a recent episode of “Hollywood Divas,” we learned via conversation with Hartwell’s ex-wife Lisa Wu and beauty blogger Talking with Tami that Keshia and Ed met via Lisa.
Pulliam shared with her fans that she’s pregnant and expecting to welcome their daughter in January 2017.
In Georgia, a husband can file for a divorce if the wife is pregnant. A judge will likely only grant a divorce if the wife is pregnant and the husband doesn’t know it. He is still responsible for child support and pre-natal healthcare support.
Is it legal for Ed Hartwell to divorce pregnant wife, Keshia Knight Pulliam?
