Munson Steed and Cory Hardict recently teamed up with Page Turners to give back to the community by sharing the importance of reading. Following a youth fashion show at Bloomingdale’s in Atlanta, Steed, CEO of Steed Media Group, and Hardict, star of the new film Destined, read excerpts from the new children’s book, Little Professor Skye: Favorite Things.

Little Professor Skye: Favorite Things, written by Steed and inspired by his goddaughter, Skye Johnson, allows kids to understand the importance of reading and education. “Read and enjoy Little Professor Skye. Each time you read a book, it awakens your imagination to create possibilities. Reading encourages you to experience new ideas and new adventures to share and create as a family,” Steed read from the book.

Hardict also took a moment to share his favorite portions of the book and discussed his family. “I have a wonderful wife, Tia Mowry, and son who is 5. I love my family, so it’s good to see families here to support their kids. It’s important to be in your kid’s life at an early age. Continue to support them as they follow their dreams. They’re the next leaders of this generation,” Hardict said.

Steed also shared how technology will play a prominent role in education. “The future of kids learning will be centered around technology,” Steed said. “It was important for me to highlight this in the book. We want parents and the community to understand how learning will change for the next generation.”

Little Professor Skye: Favorite Things is the first book in a series of children’s books that will seek to inspire Black children.
