It’s week 30 of Hot 107.5’s weekly Friday cyphers hosted by  Detroit’s DjBj. If you’ve missed rolling out’s previous updates about this radio platform, be sure to stay tuned for future radio cypher reviews. We will highlight each week’s exciting moments and new opportunities that the cyphers present for its participants.

Each week, rolling out will also highlight two cypher participants who have developed a fan base, or impressed the audience the most during their live cypher performance. Select participants are chosen to share their stories. Check out this week’s potential stars as they tell their tale of cypher success.

Meet local emcee Courtney “LC” Jason-Bell (above). The millennial business major from Michigan State University has participated in five cyphers. Last week, he delivered some impressive wordplay on-air. Since his first cypher in January, Bell has discovered his voice and his unique purpose. Bell shared that his ultimate purpose is to bring God to the streets. Even if he never earns money from rapping, he will be satisfied if his music saves at least one life. “God wants to use me to spread his word to the people. I feel that I am accountable to feed the people what’s going on in the world,” he said. Jason-Bell’s testimonies and goals are evident in his lyrics.

Jonathan “Carmichael 313” Carmichael has been a cypher participant since 2004. With 11 cyphers and a steady fan base, Carmichael plans to continue motivating others with his music. After many years of dedication to his faithful listeners, Carmichael has plans to give back to those who have supported him along his journey. His non-profit foundation, H.A.N.D (Helping and Navigating Detroit), will participate in school fundraisers, food drives for the homeless and various other charities.

In addition to the cypher platform, DjBj has expanded his brand with the 3525 App. Launched last weekend, it gives access to 107.5 cypher videos, 3525 clothing, music showcases, and a chance for emcees to submit live videos to be considered for the weekly cypher. The 3525 app is available for iPhone and Android users.
