BET has renewed the scripted comedy series “Real Husbands of Hollywood” for a fifth season following executive producer Kevin Hart’s win at the People’s Choice Awards for favorite cable TV actor.
The hit show has garnered attention from almost a million fans and is steadily growing with a continual increase in viewership. Hart was confident in his vision back in 2013 after being turned down by several major TV networks but is blown away by the success of the show.
Making a mockery of “The Real Housewives” franchise may have sounded like a wacky idea five years ago but with the all-star writing and A-list cast featuring some of the sexiest men in showbiz, it’s unquestionable why this storyline works. Think about it, there is no other show on cable television where you get to watch all your favorite comedians under one roof. With Kevin Hart, JB Smoove, Nelly, Boris Kodjoe, Nick Cannon and Duane Martin acting alongside each other there has never been a dull moment. Their comedic energy electrifies the set and has brought out some of their best work yet.
Each comedian brings a different dynamic to the table, which has definitely played a key role in the overall success of the show. The surprise guests making appearances each episode also factor into its longevity. Hart assures his fans that “Real Husbands of Hollywood” is better than ever plus the cast is on their “worst behavior” this season. Catch the airing of the first episode tonight right before the premiere of “The Gary Owen Show.”
Make sure to catch the premiere of season five of “Real Husbands of Hollywood” on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 9P/8C.
