R&B heavy hitter Mary J. Blige recently filed for divorce from Kendu Issacs after 13 years of marriage due to irreconcilable differences. Rumors have been swirling that the couple split after Issacs allegedly cheated on Blige with video vixen Karrine Steffans in addition to several other accusations of infidelity. Not only did the songstress cut ties their personal ties, she also fired Issacs as her business manager leaving him without any source of income and close to filing for bankruptcy.

Just when we thought the divorce couldn’t get messier, Issacs threw a curveball into the mix. In a recent report, he is demanding $130K in monthly spousal support to maintain the lavish lifestyle he’s been accustomed to, including a private chef, his personal training sessions, his parent’s expenses and an allowance for clothing.

According to Los Angeles Superior Court, Blige already gave Issacs $35K in August and $50K in September toward spousal support plus $25K for his legal counsel. The court has also stated he has spent all the money on his new living accommodations. Issacs also claims to have $4.2 million in assets but still believes he is owed spousal support after arguing that the couple’s prenup is invalid after not having a lawyer present when the document was signed.

Issacs has played a significant role in the success of Blige’s music career for the last decade, but does that mean he should receive an estimated $1.5 million a year? We hope these two can work out a fair settlement and part from one another in peace. Blige has yet to respond to her estranged husband’s support demands.
