Tyga’s debtors examination is cut short, after the rapper allegedly suffers serious medical distress. According to reports, on Tuesday, Oct. 18, the “Rack City” recording artist appeared in a Santa Monica, California court as part of a hefty lawsuit against him, filed by celebrity jeweler Jason Arasheben. With interest, Arasheben – who first filed the suit in 2013 – contends that Tyga, 26, owes him upwards of $280K in unpaid jewelry.
“[Tyga] wasn’t well enough to proceed about two hours into the examination,” Arasheben’s lawyer Danny Abir of Abir, Cohen, Treyzon and Salo told People. “Considering there are a number of documents we had asked for him to produce that he had not brought with him and the fact that we still have a lot more questions to ask, we have agreed for him to return with the documents on Nov. 1 for the remainder of the examination.”
As previously reported, Tyga was originally set to complete his debtors examination by October 6 — where he would answer questions about how he funds his lavish lifestyle, in addition to the extravagant gifts he’s purchased his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, 19. However, the summons was pushed back to accommodate his lawyer Shawn Holley’s schedule.
“He answered questions to the best of his ability – there were some things he couldn’t remember, but we did not feel he was being evasive. After a couple of hours he felt unwell,” Abir continued. If you ask us, Tyga may have just realized how much loot he’s been shelling out on Jenner and got sick to his stomach.
While Tyga is due back in court, Jenner, who was summoned to appear as a third party witness last month, has yet to be questioned under oath. “There may not be a need to speak to Kylie depending on the answers we receive from Tyga, but we have not asked those questions yet,” Abir explained.
As you may recall, throughout their on-off again two-year relationship, Tyga has gifted the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star with a long list of pricey gifts including a $320K Ferrari for her 18th birthday, a $189K Maybach for her 19th birthday and a giant sparkler aka promise ring. Not to mention, just over-the-weekend, the pair hosted a fancy Ferrari-themed birthday bash for Tyga’s 4-year-old son, King, complete with a caravan of red Ferraris, candy stations, a giant inflatable jumper slide, a taco grill, lemonade stand, and Lego stations.
