The fallout from the now famous robbery of Kim Kardashian continues. Kanye West fired bodyguard Pascal Duvier, who has been with the famous duo since 2014 and in the past received high praise both from Kanye and Kim. That all changed after a dramatic armed robbery in Paris in which Kardashian had a gun put to her head while the thieves stole millions of dollars in jewelry. The thieves are suspected to be members of an international robbery crew known as the Pink Panther Gang.

During the robbery, Duvier was at a party protecting Kim’s sisters Kourtney and Kendall and was later alerted to the event. A shaken Kim later left Paris for her home in New York for an emotional meeting with Kanye.

Since the incident she has rarely been seen in public and her security detail has increased. She was at a private party of 20 and brought along three $100-hour off-duty cops in addition to a personal bodyguard of her sisters. According to sources, the security teams almost out outnumbered the guests.

A shift in the mood of concern over his wife and children’s safety was noted by unnamed sources with media outlet Entertainment Tonight. The source allegedly stated “Pascal, along with a couple other security members of their team, were recently let go by Kim and Kanye. It’s a pretty tough situation overall and they love Pascal, but they couldn’t take any more chances.”

Duvier, who is a father of two and has run his own security company for 19 years, has also worked for megastars that include Fergie, Will.i.am, the Pussycat Dolls, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Lana del Rey and Katy Perry. Before the robbery, Duvier filed for bankruptcy claiming he was unable to pay any debts.
