Mariah Carey and James Packer may not have made it down the aisle before their nasty split, but alleged details about their prenup negotiations recently made it to the web and according to the reports both of these super rich celebrities had some shocking demands about how much money they expected to share between each other.

As previously reported, a rep for the singer said that Carey and Packer ended their 10-month engagement in October after a major fight during a recent vacation in Greece. Since then, many have blamed cheating rumors about Carey sleeping with one of her choreographers as a reason for the split.

However, according to new reports, there was trouble in Carey and Packer’s relationship long before those rumors surfaced. According to sources, the couple was already at odds over money and it showed during the negotiations they were having over the prenup for their failed engagement.

Sources say that when Carey received a draft of the prenup from Packer’s executive, Robert Rankin, she was not happy and refused to agree to it, saying it was “tacky and insulting.”

According to the reports, one of Packer’s conditions was that “except for gifts between them for their engagement, wedding or on birthdays and anniversaries, no item of jewelry and/or personal adornment costing over $250,000 will be deemed a gift unless accompanied by, or promptly followed by, a writing specifically stating ‘This is my gift to you.’ ”

Packer also allegedly included in the prenup draft that he would purchase clothing for Carey for an unspecified amount. However, she would not be allowed to use the clothing for business or performances. It also read that “Mariah shall provide all clothing for her children.”

The draft also allegedly included a condition that read, “James shall cause a credit card(s) to be issued for use by Mariah and staff … the amount of expenses … shall not exceed US $____ per calendar month.”

The conditions continued with Packer agreeing to let Carey use one of his personal aircraft for her own use. However, she could only use the aircraft when Packer gave her permission.

“James shall provide the use of one private aircraft, of his selection, for Mariah’s personal use, or that of her children and nannies only when James, in his sole discretion, determines it is appropriate to do so,” the draft allegedly read.

However, sources say that the part of the draft that really made Carey’s blood boil was the condition that “James will pay Mariah, and Mariah shall accept, $6 million dollars per year for each full year of marriage, up to a maximum of $30 million … adjusted pro-rata on a weekly basis [$151,385 per week].”

Sources say that Cary was insulted by the offer because she was previously told that she would receive a $50 million lump sum if they ever got a divorce.

Well, our bank accounts definitely don’t match Carey’s and Packer’s and we don’t know what it’s like to be in a marriage between two rich people, but this sounds more like two corporations trying to work out a deal than it does two people trying to wed.
