Ever since controversial reality star Donald Trump was elected President of the United States earlier this month, a bevy of celebrities, such as T.I., have spoken publicly in disgust and rage over the country’s divisive decision to elect Trump to the highest office. However, after weeks of protesting and speaking out against Trump, Tip now says he’s ready to accept Trump as president.

According to recent reports, Tip opened up about his struggle with America’s vote for Trump and the power of the Electoral College and he says that too many Americans “didn’t do enough” to keep Trump out of office.

However, despite his acceptance of Trump as our next leader, Tip says that he still wants to galvanize the public vote to wrestle the Senate and Congress out of Republican hands in 2018.

“Now it’s about focusing on, for one, how we have to keep ourselves out of harm’s way and kind of how we unite over the next two years,” the Atlanta rapper continues, “because in the next two years there’s going to be some more voting that needs to be done, it’s some more people that need to be elected.”

Besides his distant hopes for 2018, Tip has hopes for today’s Electoral College vote on the presidency and he’s keeping a link in his social media profiles to a petition calling for the EC to vote Hillary Clinton as our next president.

“We are calling on the Electors to ignore their states’ votes and cast their ballots for Secretary Clinton,” reads the petition. “Why? Mr. Trump is unfit to serve. His scapegoating of so many Americans, and his impulsivity, bullying, lying, admitted history of sexual assault, and utter lack of experience make him a danger to the Republic. Secretary Clinton WON THE POPULAR VOTE and should be President.”

Well, this a definitely a stark contrast in opinion from Tip’s hip-hop comrade Kanye West, who recently spoke of his late support for Trump.
