Will Lil Wayne finally release Tha Carter V?
It’s been two years since Lil Wayne announced that Cash Money is refusing to release the long-awaited Tha Carter V album. In 2016, we saw Wayne and Baby patch up their relationship, but to no avail. Hopefully these two can square things away so that the fans can receive a batch of great music from Weezy.
Will Kanye ever return to the old Kanye?
Public praise and scrutiny have surrounded Kanye West this year. Kanye released The Life of Pablo in February and followed the album up with The Life of Pablo tour. and both were positive endeavors. Things took a turn for the negative when he announced his support for Trump, and went on a tirade against Beyoncé and Jay-Z during the tour. Furthermore, Kanye canceled the rest of the tour and was admitted to UCLA Medical Center for symptoms of anxiety, paranoia and depression. Upon his release, he met with Trump at Trump Tower, which was another head-scratching moment. Let’s hope the sample heavy, level-headed, conscious with a cause Kanye makes a return in 2017.
Will there be a Kendrick and J. Cole joint album?
Talks of a Cole World-K. Dot album have been surfacing over the past five years. They both ignited the flames of a potential project when they released their “Black Friday” freestyles last November. Recently on The Breakfast Club, Ab-Soul said that the Kendrick and J. Cole album is a real thing and that they’ve been working on it for some time. 2017 may be the year where this album sees the light of day. Keep your fingers crossed.
Will Big Sean’s new album I Decided be his biggest album to date?
If you’ve followed the trajectory of Big Sean’s career, then you know he aims for greatness with each album release. His last album, Dark Sky Paradise, was his best album to date, selling over 350,000 copies. If “Bounce Back” is a sneak-peek of I Decided, Big Sean may potentially have the biggest album of his career on the horizon, again.
Will Jay Z release a new album?
Besides the rumors spreading that Jay Z was releasing a response album to Lemonade, the only thing we’ve heard is amazing features on countless tracks in 2016. From appearing on two of the biggest singles in 2016 (Fat Joe, and Remy Ma: “All The Way Up” remix, DJ Khaled: “I Got the Keys,” featuring Future) to him being pictured in the studio with super-producer Zaytoven, an album from Jay Z could be what hip-hop needs in 2017.
