“The Voice” has officially stepped their game up, calling on some of the music industry’s biggest talent to serve as advisers for the reality juggernaut’s upcoming 12th season.

During a recent interview with “Extra,” resident coach Alicia Keys revealed she’s called on Mr. Major Key Alert himself, DJ Khaled, as her key adviser on the upcoming season. “I feel like it’s so incredible to have the diversity that I’m able to bring to the show, especially through Khaled. … I feel like there [are] so many ways to look at music, there [are] so many ways to create. It’s not just about being a great performer, it’s about being a personality, for the energy that you bring to come out. I think that is what Khaled does very naturally.”

Meanwhile, the music producer responded to Keys’ compliments with a metaphor, saying, “If the room is dark, I’m the lightbulb … I try to bring the best out of the people I work with.”

As for how the partnership came about, Khaled revealed that he “got a text from the team.” Adding that the opportunity gives him a chance to possibly collaborate with Keys on a new song, “It is connected. It was perfect,” he said.

Also tapped for season 12 is John Legend. The R&B crooner will be serving as an adviser to coach Adam Levine’s team, E! News reports. The news comes on the heels of Levine’s fellow coach Gwen Stefani’s appearance on the “Today” show, where she announced that she’s enlisted powerhouse vocalist Céline Dion as her team’s trusted adviser.

Dion also shared her excitement on Twitter, tweeting, “Very excited to join @gwenstefani on @NBCTheVoice as #TeamGwen’s advisor for Battles! #TheVoice -Céline ✌.”
