Big stars are up for big awards
Everyone’s favorite Canadian, Drake, is nominated for eight awards including Album of the Year for Views, which was certified four times platinum by the close of 2016. While veteran rapper Jay Z isn’t up for any accolades this year, his leading lady, Beyoncé, leads the pack with nine nominations, in not one, not two, but four different genres, thanks to her viral visual album, Lemonade.

It’s a night of firsts
Comedian Amy Schumer landed her first two Grammy nominations for her Live at the Apollo performance and recording of her audio-book for “The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo.” This year also marks the first time both Drake and Justin Bieber are up for Album of the Year.

Meanwhile, Grammy nominee Demi Lovato will join soulful singers Andra Day, Tori Kelly and Little Big Town for a special collaborative performance honoring the Bee Gees on the 40th anniversary of Saturday Night Fever.
