Drake channels his inner superhero.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the “Hotline Bling” rapper offered to talk down a suicidal man who was attempting to jump off a bridge in England early Saturday morning, Feb. 11.

Local authorities from the City Centre Integrated Neighbourhood Policing Team told the media outlet about the incident. “One officer was approached by a male from a tour van caught up in the traffic congestion, claiming to be part of Drake’s entourage,” Inspector Phil Spurgeon said. “He offered for Drake to speak to the male on the bridge, if that would help. The offer was declined with thanks.”

Apparently, Drake, 30, had just wrapped up a set at the Manchester Arena and his tour bus got caught up in traffic after roads on Mancunian Way, in close proximity to London Road, were closed around 5:40 a.m. as officers worked diligently to calm the man on the ledge. Although Drake’s offer was politely declined, authorities were successful in their efforts to talk the jumper down at around 7 a.m. He was later taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment.

While Drizzy didn’t directly speak with the man, his show of good will definitely speaks volumes. And oh what a difference one week can make. In case you missed it, just recently, the Canadian-born hip hop artist found himself in the doghouse after a video featuring him appeared to show him telling a concertgoer to remove what many assumed to be a hijab. “You got on that hot a– scarf right there, you might wanna take this off,” Drake told the woman. “You gotta turn this muthaf—- up… you gotta come out of that s—.”

In his defense, Drake took to Instagram, alleging the story was fake news.

“I made a comment about taking off the scarf because I really enjoy a friendly banter with the fans,” he said of the event, which took place on January 30. “I am well aware of what a hijab is and I would never make a disrespectful comment like that in my life towards someone who is wearing one.”

Well, kudos to Drizzy for turning it all around!
